The file contract is shared. The directory name is not. Confirm the path before you blame the agent.

Install one skill on Claude, Cursor, Codex, and Grok Guides

Copy the whole folder so SKILL.md sits at <name>/SKILL.md.

  • Claude Code: .claude/skills
  • Grok Build: .grok/skills
  • Codex: .agents/skills
  • Cursor: the project agent skills directory

The usual miss is an extra nested folder. After the copy, start a new session and ask for a task that matches the description. The install guide lists the same paths in a table you can cite.
